A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate; or
A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum 5 years of working experience in a related field and rigorous internal assessment by the Postgraduate Studies Committee of Faculty/ Institute/Centre; or
Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the faculty/ institute/ centre and meet the minimum CGPA.
(Note : 1 year working experience is equivalent to 0.1 CGPA)
Applicants who have passed the APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) assessment in the relevant field are eligible for admission to the Master’s level programme (Level 7 of the Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF), endorsed by MQA.
Applicants must submit the APEL Certificate issued by MQA before the admission process can be completed.
International applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the English language through :-
Malaysian University English Test (MUET) ≥ 3.5
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) IBT ≥ 40; or
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) ≥ 5.0; or
Pearson Test of English (PTE) ≥ 47; or
Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) ≥ 154; or
Common European Framework of References (CEFR) High Band 1; or
Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP-ELS) ≥ 107
