1: Wireless Communications

Semester: Fall

Offered: 2023

In this course the student will study the key design aspects of a modern wireless communication system, in particular cellular mobile radio systems. There is a current shortage of communications engineers with a comprehensive appreciation of wireless system design from RF through baseband to packet protocols. The course provides an introduction to wireless communication systems. The course will introduce radio propagation and transmission principles used in different wireless communication systems such as mobile telephone, satellite communication, TV and radio transmissions. The course will discuss radio channel characteristics such as fading, interference and to develop a good understanding of the radio engineering area. The course will discuss different techniques used to support voice, data and video communication in wireless systems. The course will also discuss the wireless networks and their basic design thereof from both theoretical and practical points of view.

2: Cybersecurity

Semester: Fall

Offered: 2023

This course aims to expand the skills of students in the cybersecurity world. The students will learn different attack and defense techniques in a real-world, simulated environment 

This course includes most of the attack techniques. The course will focus most on the OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities and their detailed analysis. All of them will be simulated, giving so the students a full practical view of the real world application vulnerabilities and their mitigation techniques

3: Distributed systems and Cloud Computing

Semester: Spring

Offered: 2024

This course aims to increase the skills of the students in the cloud design and especially in the implementation in Business related area. The different cloud architectures will be analyzed and implemented during the course by the students.

This course includes the techniques of Privat and Public cloud. It also includes the methods to support Live Migration, Load balancing for the resources. The students will deal with different type of Hypervisors in Cloud like paravirtualization and full virtualization. The students will have the possibility to show how the cloud technology helps the business.
