Cassidy Davis, MS
Cassidy is a second year graduate student at the University of Missouri with a major in geology and a certificate in geological information sciences. She is using the zircon record of the Black Rock Desert (Utah) to understand pre-eruptive magmatic processes.
Caroline Rogers, MS
Caroline is a second year graduate student at the University of Missouri with a major in Geology and a minor in Museum Studies. She is using Pb isotopes to decipher mantle heterogeneity along the Basin-and-Range and Colorado Plateau transition. Caroline is a GSA On To the Future participant and received a GSA Graduate Research Grant in 2025.
Alex Smith, MS
Alex is a master's student at the University of Missouri pursuing his degree in geology with a focus in geochemistry and petrology. He is investigating the timing of the mega-landslides in southern Utah. He is inspired to study the geochemistry, mineralogy, and grain morphology of the collapsed volcanic fields to further our current understanding of the catastrophic mega-landslides.
John is a senior undergraduate student graduating in December 2025, majoring in geology and a minor in mathematics. He is using Pb isotopes and geochemical analysis of basalts from the Black Rock Desert (Utah) to make interpretations of the initial magma chambers in the region. He is excited to contribute to the world of geosciences and hopes to make a difference by exploring many different fields in geology.
Ella Watson, UGR
Ella graduated from the University of Missouri in August 2025, majoring in geology with minors in anthropology and history. She is now seeking employment and lives in Oklahoma.
