Presenting "Tau Beta Pi Headquarters Update"
Ms. Peterson, Tau Beta Pi Arizona Alpha ’83, serves as the current President of the Tau Beta Pi Association. She has been a member of the Executive Council since 2023. Her engineering career has been with Honeywell Aerospace with over four decades in technical leadership positions. She earned Black Belt, Lean Expert, and Lean Master certifications. She has been recognized by the Society for Women Engineers and the University of Arizona for her technical and service activities. She is known for her mentoring activities. She received a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona.
Dean of the Kummer College, Missouri S&T
Presenting "Your Career as an Engineering Professional"
Dr. Sterling, Tau Beta Pi Texas Delta ’83, is Vice Provost and Founding Dean of the Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development at Missouri S&T. He joined Missouri S&T in 2024 from the Keck Graduate Institute in Claremont, California, which is a member of the Claremont University Consortium. He joined Keck as a founding faculty member in 2000 and served in many capacities, including director of the school’s intellectual property and technology transfer committee and its Ph.D. program. He earned a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 1987.
During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to tour our campus and visit a few of our labs and our Student Design Center that holds over 20 design teams!
