Getting Involved
Getting Involved
PAWS is built on relationships and shared experiences.
Individuals, organizations, and employers support the program in many different ways, helping students build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections to work and community life.
Ways to Get Involved!
PAWS mentors support students through connection, encouragement, and shared experiences. Mentors may meet with students individually or in small groups and help them navigate academic, social, or career-related goals while building meaningful relationships.
Employers play an important role in supporting PAWS students as they explore work interests and build job skills. We partner with employers both within and beyond the University of Missouri to offer paid and volunteer opportunities, internships, and employment experiences aligned with students’ goals.
Opportunities vary in scope and commitment, and we work collaboratively with employers to identify roles that are mutually beneficial.
Getting involved does not require a long-term commitment. We’re happy to start with a conversation and explore what involvement could look like.
