Where is the conference?
The Washington Ballroom at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center: 1 E Pershing Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108
Who is the conference intended for?
The conference is for all medical students, professors, physicians, and providers to connect, collaborate, and further the research and care being done in Kansas City
What will the conference entail?
The conference will have student research presentations, judging, networking events, and the opportunity to listen to exceptional researchers in the Kansas City area.
How much does the conference cost?
The conference is 100% free for all students, whether you are presenting or not. Conference registration will open up late September.
Abstract FAQs
How do I submit my abstract(s)?
All abstracts must be submitted through RedCap
What is the deadline for abstract submissions?
October 7th, 2024
How many abstracts can I submit?
Authors are limited to submitting a maximum of two abstracts, and they must be from two separate categories
Will all abstracts be accepted?
Authors must delegate one abstract as their preferred submission.
If only one abstract is accepted, only the preferred submission will be accepted and presented at the conference.
Which categories can my abstract fall under?
3 categories: Basic Science/Translational Science, Clinical Science, Quality Improvement. Clinical Science includes original research in a human patient population and/or a systematic review or meta-analysis. Either are eligible for Clinical Science.
What is the character limit for abstracts?
Abstracts are limited to 2500 characters (with spaces). Headers and abstract text are included in the 2500 count, whereas the abstract title, authors, and affiliations are not included in the 2500 count.
How should abstract authors be listed?
All authors should be listed in order of contributions. The presenting author should be listed first. Please list the relevant affiliations of each author.
Example: Person A1, Person B2, Person C3
1 - UMKC School of Medicine; 2 - KCU-COM; 3 - Department of IR, KU Medical Center
