Each summer, we teach a two-week virtual workshop that aims to teach junior researchers basic principles of computer programming for psychology and neuroscience. Specific emphasis is given on the skills needed to analyze data from cognitive tasks using the R programming language. This includes interactive lectures, sample programs, and homework assignments. Enrollment is completely free and students from all universities are encouraged to apply. Every workshop has about 50–75 students at various career stages (undergraduates, postbaccs, graduate students, and even faculty).
