Our Mission
Make people happy by looking good and feeling better
Brand History
A 50-year voyage of beauty, resilience, and restored identities.
Susan has operated the salon for nearly 50 years, since August 5, 1977. Susan and her husband Ray, inspired by his Navy service, named the salon The Captain’s Quarters, blending his naval dreams with their new business venture.
After witnessing her sister struggle with a loss of identity due to hair loss from cancer treatment, she shifted her focus to wig-styling and made a heartfelt promise to help as many people as she could to feel better again.
A wig not only helps cancer patients regain their confidence, making them look good and feel better, but also brings comfort and familiarity to those around them.
Today, Susan devotes much of her time to serving as a local, state, and national trainer for other stylists, teaching them how to work with cancer patients. Her goal is to equip stylists with the confidence and skills needed not only to care for these clients but also to ensure that each cancer patient leaves feeling seen, supported, and beautiful.
With a deep desire to help as many people as possible, her greatest wish as a business owner is to have her business for 50 years.
