This module is typically offered for first year students who study Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedicine,  Pharmacy, Medicine, Dentistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Food Science and Engineering and related coursework. There are mainly two flows that are discussed in the module: Flow of energy and Flow of information. How energy absorbed from the sun into chemicals, which then digested to release the energy to form other structure or to fuel life. How the information in the chemistry is preserved, inherited and communicated to sustain life. Discussion on case of disease and therapy are integrated into the lessons.

Basic understanding of Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Cell Biology is required. This coursework discuss deeper understanding on how life sustain flow of information and how this information affect life. 

This coursework is for advance late undergraduate year of Pharmacy and Biology alike. Strategic approach on how to tackle industrial need and problem with Biotechnology expertise is the main core of this coursework. 

This course work in compulsory for first year undergraduate students of Pharmacy. We discuss the history of microbiology and how it affect human health and biotechnology world.
