Veterinary Summer Scholars
Veterinary Summer Scholars
Together with our funding partners, we have a shared goal to create veterinary research scientists skilled in hypothesis-driven research and translational medicine. This is a summer research program for veterinary students from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). Veterinary students from outside the University of Minnesota are also eligible and encouraged to apply.
Through this program, students will:
Gain firsthand experience in research, including techniques, hypothesis development, and data evaluation.
Develop your communication and critical thinking skills.
Develop your understanding of the scientific basis for modern medicine.
Explore career paths beyond veterinary practice.
Attend the CVM RIDE Summit, July 16, 2025.
Earn a $7,056 stipend while you learn.
Attend the Veterinary Scholars Symposium in Spokane, Washington, August 7-9, 2025.
