Auditions
The initial round of auditions will take place mid to late September and are usually held in Ferguson Hall. We ask that you prepare two songs, a verse and a chorus of each(roughly 60 seconds). You are welcome to sing any genre of music, but keep in mind our group has a tendency to sing more pop songs. However, we definitely want you to sing something that showcases your voice! After that we do a quick range check. We will also ask you a couple fun questions to get to know you :) We try to make our auditions as laid-back as we can to make sure that everyone is comfortable!

Callbacks
Callbacks
Callbacks will be around 10-15 minutes in length. We ask that you prepare another verse and chorus from one song that we haven’t already heard you sing. The group will usually give a genre or sound that we want to hear from you, however the song choice is still up to you! After you sing your song of choice, we will do a quick tonal recall exercise (we play some notes and have you match the pitch). We will also check your blending abilities by having you sing a piece with the group. We will provide both the the music file and the recording of the part we want you to sing. This gives you the chance to really see how you blend and vibe with us :)

When do you guys rehearse?
Most years our rehearsal days fall on Thursdays and Sundays from 7-9pm in Ferguson Hall, however we always coordinate rehearsal times with every members schedule :)
Do you look for specific parts?
While we may have certain ranges that we are looking to fill in, we don't have set parts within the group. We love giving members the opportunity to be able to stretch their vocal capabilities by assigning varying parts on each song. We do always keep out eye out for basses and vocal percussionists though!
Is prior experience required?
Prior music experience is NOT required to be a part of our group. All of our songs have recorded parts, making it accessible for those who are not able to sight read. We just look for people who love creating and performing music as much as we do :)
