VIRTUAL CHEMISTRY GRADUATION AND
CELEBRATION
SPRING 2020

Welcome Friends, Family, Graduates, and Scholarship Recipients!

On the 8th of May, we held our virtual celebration of our graduating seniors and scholarship and award recipients. Below, you will find the videos we showed. So many friends, family, graduates, and awardees were able to attend -- thank you for coming! Our audience also featured several cats, several dogs, and a turtle! Once again -- we congratulate you all!

I visited campus and recorded a video, in which I share our congratulations to our graduates and scholarship recipients and highlight some of the wonderful things on our campus. One student pointed out that I was not wearing PPE (personal protection equipment) while in the research lab. This is correct -- with our labs in hibernation, I did not put on my safety eyewear and lab coat. Once our labs come out of hibernation, you'll see everyone wearing proper PPE!

Our department head, Professor David Blank, also recorded a video offering his congratulations!

Our very own Chemistry Mom, Stephanie Stathopoulos, recorded this video, offering her congratulations!

Normally, we'd perform a series of our most popular chemistry demonstrations during our in person celebration. Here, I have linked a series of videos showcasing some of our favorites! Thanks, especially, go to Joe Franek! You might notice that there's quite a lot of fire!

Congratulations to our graduating seniors!
