The Minnesota Biofilm Symposium is an annual 1 day conference, typically held in the spring. The symposium strives to bring together researchers in the Upper Midwest region from academic institutions, industry, and primarily undergraduate institutions. Previous attendees included researchers in dentistry, medicine, veterinary science, microbiology, physics, engineering, geobiology, and plant biology -- all with a shared interest in biofilms and microbial communities.
For each symposium, we aim to invite diverse keynote speakers who are not only excellent scientists but are also recognized for leadership, outreach, and mentoring. Additional invited speakers include graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and senior scientists.
Researchers at all levels are invited to present their work during a poster session. Funding may be available to offset the cost of poster printing and travel.
