Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2024 U of MN Graduate Programs Fair. We hope this provides you a great opportunity to connect with prospective graduate students while sharing valuable information about your program(s).
Tuesday, October 15, 2024
U of MN Twin Cities Campus, Coffman Memorial Union,
Great Hall
The Graduate Programs Fair is designed to help undergraduate students navigate graduate program options at the U, and begin to establish support systems in their graduate exploration process. Undergraduates from U of MN-system campuses and area institutions will have the opportunity to:
Meet faculty, staff and representatives from graduate programs at the Twin Cities and Duluth campuses
Connect with current students from various graduate student organizations and learn about their unique experiences as grad students at U of MN
Learn about systemwide resources available to graduate students
Feel more supported in your graduate education journey.
Graduate School Diversity Office (GSDO) programs, events, and resources are open to UMN and UMD domestic graduate students, and generally center the intersectional experiences of marginalized students whose identities have been historically excluded in graduate education.
REGISTER to participate! Last year, more than 50 graduate programs, student organizations and departments participated in the event, and connected with nearly 200 students!
Register here by Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
KNOW THE SET UP. Each registered graduate program will be provided:
A 6-foot, unskirted, rectangle table (with two chairs) to display program brochures, giveaways and other items
A cork backboard behind your table to hang/display program signs, posters, etc.
Note: Although seats at each table are limited, we encourage you to get others from your program involved. Divide the 3-hour event time however you see fit by encouraging your program colleagues, staff and students to take turns spending time at your table!
BRING ITEMS TO HELP YOU ENGAGE WITH PROSPECTS. A few examples include:
Branded tablecloth
Tabletop, floor or hanging banners
Program handouts and brochures
Inquiry cards (or create a Google form or QR code to capture student information)
Giveaways, candy or an interactive activity
Business cards
PROMOTE THE EVENT. Help us make this the most successful Graduate Programs Fair yet! Please use the Media Kit provided to spread the word among your networks and encourage students to attend.
