The upcoming UMD Bulldog Marching Band season is going to be one you won’t want to miss. This year, the marching band will be performing at events in Bulldog Welcome Week, every UMD home football game, and several community events. The UMD Athletic Bands are open to UMD, CSS, LSC and UWS students.
Band camp move-ins are tentatively (the schedule is not finalized yet)on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026, with daily rehearsals until Saturday, August 29th. During this time, the band will get opportunities to learn, perform, and enjoy the Duluth summer before the classes begin.
During the school year, the marching band rehearses on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm on Chester Park Field 9. The first football game is our military appreciation football game in early September, and our final event is the Christmas City of the North parade that takes place in December 2026.
