Valerie Barrera Estrada

My name is Valerie (or Val!) and I’m an uprising senior at the University of Minnesota. I’m currently majoring in biochemistry and minoring in Korean Studies and Pharmacology. My goal in joining the lab is to learn new techniques— both general and specific to researching ovarian cancer — and learn to think like a researcher. Some of my hobbies include reading, spending time with my family and friends, watching shows, and exercising!
