Pre-Workshop Activities
Thursday October 15th you will receive Slack invite.
We will use Slack for introductions and to get discussions started
October 18th
For added flexibility we have planned both synchronous and asynchronous activities.

Introduction
This will be a synchronous activity conducted on Zoom
12:30pm - 1:15pm
Keynote talk by Dr. Kishonna Gray
This will be a synchronous activity conducted on Zoom and include Q&A.
15 minute break: 1:15pm - 1:30pm
1:30pm - 2:30pm
Topic-based Discussions
We will break out into small groups to discuss topics that are of interest to us. These discussions will take place on Slack so that participants can engage in as many (or as few) conversations as they like.
2:30pm - 3:15pm
From the Experts Panel
Organizers with public scholarship experience will talk about best practices and potential pitfalls. The panel will center around audience questions. This is a synchronous activity and will take place on Zoom
30 minute break 3:15pm - 3:45pm
3:45pm - 4:30pm
Next Steps
We will discuss where we want to go from here! Depending on what the group decides, this will either be a full group discussion or smaller-subgroups. This discussion(s) will be synchronous and take place on Zoom.
