Friday, January 22, 4 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Carlson Energy Club is hosting a Virtual Careers in Energy Speed Networking event on Friday, January 22, from 4-6 p.m. Students or recent graduates interested in a career focused on energy, environment, and/or sustainability should register. The purpose of the event is to offer a forum for more in-depth networking, both for those actively job seeking as well as those just interested in finding out more about the sector or broadening their network.
Friday, October 23, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The West Bank Energy & Environment Collaborative (WBEC) comprised of the Carlson Energy Club, the Environment and Energy Law Society, and the Energy and Environmental Policy Club, invites the University of Minnesota community as well as any stakeholders outside the institution to join a half-day virtual conference to discuss broader reforms to our local transportation systems in the context of electrification and equity. First-time author and CSOM alum Eric Pasi joins the University of Minnesota West Bank Energy Collaborative to discuss his new book, CleanWave: A Guide to Success in the Green Recovery, which will be released on October 18th. Humphrey professor Gabe Chan will facilitate a conversation about what career options are available in renewable energy, how best to find entry into the job market, and lessons learned from Pasi's 12-year experience building one of the fastest growing companies in the country - IPS Solar.
In April 2019 the Carlson Energy Club teamed up to host the conference with the Law School’s Energy and Environmental Law Society and the Humphrey School’s Energy and Environmental Policy Club. The theme was the Midwest Energy Transition: Getting the Details Right, and featured a single speaker from each of the business, law, and policy disciplines followed by a moderated discussion.

Trane is a multi-billion manufacturing and controls company providing HVAC and energy systems solutions for buildings around the world, and was founded here in the upper Midwest. They are often hiring undergrad and graduate students and will offer some insights on the latest trends in building design and energy management solutions.
In April 2018 the Carlson Energy Club held The Business of Energy Transition Energy Conference where we explored the many ways in which the energy transition is maximizing value throughout public, commercial, and industrial spheres.
