Overview

The Fluid Power Research Laboratory (MIML) is located in Room 451/453, Mechanical Engineering building. Research in the FPRL focuses on advancing the e fluid power components and systems. Many activities within MIML overlap with those within the Mechatronics and Intelligent Machines Lab (MIML).

• Grid-scale isothermal compressed air energy storage (i-CAES)

• Hybrid Hydraulic-Electric Architecture (HHEA) for mobile machines

• Real-time optimal control of hybrid hydrostatic vehicles

• Inline Hydromechanical transmission (iHMT)

• Piston-by-piston partial stroke piston pressurization (PSPP) control of pump/motors
