Map showing the location of NSF and the Holiday Inn Alexandria - Carlyle.
Meals: Morning snacks and lunch will be provided on both days. Dinner is on your own, but there are numerous places to eat in the vicinity.
Reimbursements: Your travel to the workshop will be reimbursed by University of Minnesota (under a contract from NSF). We have allocated $1500 per person to cover your travel (e.g. hotel 2 nights: $400, per diem: $200, local travel; $200; airfare $700). If you have any special situations that will require you to go over this amount, please let us know asap. We will do our best to accommodate any such requests subject to NSF and U of M regulations as well as workshop budget limitations.
University of Minnesota policies require the following:
Receipts should be submitted within 30 days.
Airfare needs to be compliant with the Fly America Act
Lodging nightly rate must be within 150% of the GSA rate for DC. (150% of $258). If lodging cannot be obtained at this rate, please complete this form for exception approval.
Per diem for the first and last day is 75% of the GSA per diem rate for DC: dinner ($36), incidental ($5).
Travel should only cover your own expenses.
Tips should not exceed 20%.
For questions about reimbursement, contact Bobbie Scott at kradmin@umn.edu.
