Professor Heller has contributed to significant discoveries such as the Tau neutrino and participated in neutrino oscillation experiments. Alongside his wife, he formed an influential Physics Education Research Group, pioneering methods to improve problem-solving skills and diversity in physics education. Currently, Heller remains active in both high-energy physics and Physics Education Research, focusing on projects such as the Mu2e experiment and investigating diversity barriers in physics PhD programs.
