In 2024 all interviews and related activities will be conducted via Zoom. All dates have a Thursday evening social connection with residents in advance of the Friday interviews (a resident representative will contact you directly with details). Friday interviews with faculty feature the choice of an early or later session. The first will start around 8:20 a.m. CST. and the second will begin at 11:30 a.m. CST to provide options to varying time zones. Using the Thalamus self-scheduler to sign up for your preferred interview date and time, please sign up for either Session 1 or Session 2. If your preferred date is full, you can add yourself to the wait list by responding to the email invitation in Thalamus.

Welcome to the Neurology Residency Program! This Program is sponsored by the University of Minnesota Department of Neurology. The Residency Program Manual provides policies and procedures for the residency program. Contact your Program Director or your Program Coordinator should you have any questions about contents found in this manual.
The Institution Manual (http://z.umn.edu/gmeim) is designed to be an umbrella policy manual. Some programs may have policies that are more rigid than the Institution Manual in which case the program policy will be followed. Should a policy in a Program Manual conflict with the Institution Manual, the Institution Manual will take precedence. References and/or links to Institution and Department-level policies have been added in all applicable sections of this manual.
Program policies are created to ensure the program meets the requirements of the institution, accrediting bodies, and applicable governing boards. More information can be found at their respective websites.
