Funding pause: Nature for New Minnesotans

Funding for Nature for New Minnesotans was provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR). This three-year funding cycle ended on June 30, 2024. 

Interested individuals can still access all of the developed student-facing materials (activities, vocabulary cards, species cards), as well as teacher instructions, in the 'Our modules' tab. Educators who are interested in obtaining physical, laminated copies of species cards, vocabulary cards, and graphics used in each module should contact Lucas Rapisarda at rapis008@umn.edu.

Nature for New Minnesotans is actively seeking future funding to develop new modules, host more educator trainings, and offer culminating experiences for adult EL learners. Please check this website for future updates!
