Funding for Nature for New Minnesotans was provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR). This three-year funding cycle ended on June 30, 2024.
After the conclusion of the grant, ownership of NFNM was transferred to the University of Minnesota Bell Museum of Natural History. Interested individuals can access all of the developed student-facing materials (activities, vocabulary cards, species cards), as well as teacher instructions, in the 'Our modules' tab. Educators who are interested in obtaining physical, laminated copies of species cards, vocabulary cards, and graphics used in each module should contact Nia Navarro at enavarro@umn.edu
