(Graduate Program in Neuroscience)
I am a fifth-year MSTP (MD/PhD) student. My research interests involve neuromodulation, from the cellular to the circuit level. I am currently investigating the interaction of astrocytes and neurotransmitters and the resulting modulatory actions on neural circuits in Alfonso Araque's lab. My long-term interests lie in investigating the neurophysiological underpinnings of functional neurosurgical interventions for understanding and optimization. Outside of neuroscience, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, reading sci-fi and nonfiction, and biking.

I am an electrical engineering PhD candidate specializing in health AI, focusing on developing brain network-based biomarkers for epilepsy. I’m passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and mentoring, guiding undergraduate and high school students in research projects. I’m also leading efforts to establish a Twin Cities IEEE EMBS chapter to connect students and professionals in healthcare and technology.
Vice President
I am a 3rd year medical student interested in neurology and have been part of N-PNS since starting medical school. I am currently interested in stroke and how we can use neuromodulation to improve recovery, including both motor and cognitive deficits. Outside of school and research, I enjoy cooking and Minnesota sports.
Student Advisor
I am a fourth-year MSTP (MD/PhD) student. My research interests involve the neural mechanisms underlying human cognition, pharmacoresistant forms of neuropsychiatric disorders, and various neuromodulation treatments. Outside of the world of neuroscience, I enjoy traveling, trying any and all kinds of delicious food, and venturing out to movie theaters.
Treasurer
I am a first-year medical student at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, with a primary interest in epilepsy research, particularly in therapeutic intervention targets and optimizing treatment approaches. Outside of my academic and clinical interests, I enjoy cooking, reading, watching movies, spending quality time with friends, and making the most of outdoor activities.
Media Director
I am currently a third year medical student at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and am interested in psychiatry as a future practice. I joined this club because I found neurocognition and neuropsychiatry a fascinating field that I want to immerse myself in. Outside of school I enjoy fishing, reading about history, and hanging out with my girlfriend.
Outreach and Recruitment
I am a second year medical student at the University of Minnesota on the Duluth Campus and this is my first year being a part of N-PNS. I am interested in pursuing a career in psychiatry in the future and first became interested in neuromodulation when I worked in a TMS clinic for depression before medical school. I enjoy hiking, biking, running, and spending time with my fiance and our cat named Nemo!
Secretary
I am a first year MSTP (MD/PhD) student. I am interested in the neurocircuitry and mechanisms underlying substance use disorders, and the use of neuromodulation and functional neurosurgical techniques to treat these conditions. Outside of school I enjoy volleyball, baking, and trying new restaurants.

Hi, I am a fourth-year electrical engineering Ph.D. candidate at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
I am primarily interested in biomedical signal processing. For the past year, I have been working with various sources of iEEG signals, and I currently focus on seizure localization by applying machine learning techniques on iEEG data.
Vice President
I am a fourth year MD/PhD student in the Molecular Pharmacology and Therapeutics program. I am interested in the intersections of pain and addiction neurocircuitry, and how their overlapping mechanisms can be harnessed to treat both chronic pain and opioid addiction.
Vice President
(Graduate Program in Neuroscience)
I am a current 4th-year MSTP student. My interests are wide-ranging, but this year I started my Ph.D. in neuroscience in Dr. Araque's lab. I love technology, brains, music, and the outdoors!
Secretary
I am a second-year medical student at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, interested in neurology and infectious disease. My current work revolves around understanding how the location and severity of intracerebral hemorrhage affect neurobehavioral deficits in mice. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking and trying out new restaurants in the Twin Cities.
