The Modern Homesteading Conference is coming to Park Rapids High School on November 21, 2026. Attendees will spend the day building practical, hands-on skills through demonstrations and workshops on topics like buying land, animal care, growing your own food, sourdough, soap making, small engine maintenance, energy-efficient homes, food preservation, and more. Whether you live on a farm, in town, or somewhere in between, you'll leave with ideas you can put to use right away - plus a Modern Homesteading Handbook packed with research-based fact sheets, planning tools, seasonal tips, and Extension resources to keep learning long after the conference ends.
