Would you like to try painting but don't know where to begin? Please join Deb Hoffoss in an acrylic painting demo for some hands-on experience! Paints and brushes are available to borrow for the class, and 8" x 8" canvases will be provided to keep! No previous training is necessary, just come with an open mind! The class is scheduled for one hour. Acrylic paints do not come out of clothing, so please dress accordingly. The suggested donation for class materials is $10.

Suggested donation: Two options: Cooking course $5 and/or $2 for 3 pre-made pot stickers
Join our very own accountant Yang Chong as she shows us how to make her delicious pot stickers! These Chinese jiaozi (餃子) date back to the first centuries of the Common Era. Participants can expect to fill and hand-roll their own dumplings , then receive instructions on how to pan-fry them at home!
Course content:
1) How to make the dough from scratch (flour and water)
2) How to make the wrappings from ready made dough which I will bring with me that morning.
3) How to wrap the filling to make a pot sticker. Each person can make 5 pot stickers at most.
5) How to use stove to cook the pot stickers. She will use a hot plate to cook the pot stickers in the cooking course.

2019 will mark the 17th year of NAMIWalks, the nation's largest mental health awareness and fundraising event. MNPI Supports will be gathering pledges throughout the year, and we hope that you can also join our walking team on the day of the event. All MNPI departmental staff are welcome to participate in the MIAW spirit week to represent NAMI. On Monday bring a snack to share with your co-workers within your department and feel free to check out what other departments have. On Tuesday, wear funky socks to show off. Wednesday is for stylish sunglasses. On Thursday, wear the color blue tor represent NAMI. Lastly, on Friday wear your favorite hat and/or jersey to work.

Interested in crocheting but don't know how? Karrie will teach you the basics! You will learn how to use a crochet hook, start a dishcloth project by chaining the yarn, master the double crochet stitch, and create something beautiful. Cost of the class is for special dishcloth yarn, crochet hook, and hands-on, step-by-step crochet lesson.
