• Operates using TTL-pulsed Anymaze programs: can be used for passive stimulation or active stimulation during behavioral tasks

• Can be used with open field, self-stimulation, real-time and conditioned place preference, novel object recognition, forced swim test. Can also be adapted for other tests (e.g., balance beam)

Neurolux Wireless Optogenetics (CCRB)

• Allows for tether-free optogenetic stimulation

• Great for interactive behavior, water-based tasks, or arenas with small spaces (e.g., food trough receptacles in operant chambers)

• ~12" x 12" Stimulation Area, 1 or 2 enclosure set-up

• Passive or TTL-triggered stimulation

• Stimulate multiple mice at a time

• Custom-made apparatuses available!

Fiber Photometry +/- Optogenetics (WMBB)

• Calcium imaging in awake, freely moving mice

• Independent use or combined optogenetic control + calcium imaging (GCamPS + red-shifted opsins)

• Doric Lenses Equipment housed in lab of Dr. Patrick Rothwell

• Analysis software and Matlab code not provided

Portable Rental Equipment

• Custom-made light delivery systems (different systems available to allow for integration with multiple types of other equipment and drivers)

• 50 and 200 mW lasers (473 nm), two 50 mW lasers (593 nm) and multiple LEDs (Plexon red, orange, lime, green, blue)

Optogenetic Testing in the Behavioral Core Facility (WMBB and Jackson)

• We have multiple simple behavioral tests that can be used with optogenetics, but the majority of tests offered by the Behavioral Core can potentially be fitted to use with these approaches.
