Mission

We have formed a multidisciplinary research collaborative comprised of researchers from the Departments of Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Institute for Health Informatics with a mission to improve care for the critically ill. We will accomplish this through outcomes research while also fostering an environment dedicated to mentoring and inspiring trainees with research interests. Specifically, we will identify high quality critical care delivery models by using national data to compare high versus low performing hospitals. We will then develop national and hospital level practice changing recommendations to improve outcomes of our critically ill patients.
