Mindfulness For Students
Mindfulness For Students hosts weekly meditation sessions for everyone in the campus community. We invite a different meditation leader each week so our members experience a diversity of meditation practices and traditions. We are not affiliated with any religion or specific meditation tradition. We have a strong community of attendees, so it is a great place to meet other people interested in mindfulness who are both absolute beginners or experienced practitioners. It is a great place to learn how to meditate for the first time or to expand one's awareness of the many practices that exist.
A typical meeting is a ~30 minute guided meditation led by a member or an experienced mindful practitioner. A discussion follows, and after that, snacks and social time.
No prior experience is needed, and newcomers are welcome anytime. No registration or payment is required either, just show up to any meeting that works with your schedule. We have all the necessary equipment such as meditation benches and meditation cushions, so all you need to bring is a curious mind!
