10:00 am - 4:00pm All-Humphrey School Orientation 

• These events pertain to all Humphrey academic programs (MDP, MHR, MURP, MPP, & MS-STEP)

• These events are coordinated by the Humphrey School and they will communicate with you directly 

• Breakfast and lunch will be provided with opportunities to engage with Humphrey community members. Features of the day will include a welcome from Dean Botchwey, tips to make the most of your time at the Humphery School and beyond, a keynote event, and more.

9:30 am - 11:45 am Breakfast & MDP Program Orientation Opening Sessions

12:00 pm - 1:15 pm Lunch @ Humphrey Patio (with MPP and MURP incoming students)

1:30pm -2:00 pm MDP Individual and Cohort Photos

2:00 pm - 3:30 pm     "Places you need to know... " - Tour of essential destinations, curated and  led by   2nd Year MDP students *Meet in the plaza outside between Humphrey, Wilson Library, and Heller Hall

3:30 pm - 4:30 pm (Tentative) Meet-up with Humphrey International Fellows

9:00 am - 11:00 am Cohort & Alumni Breakfast Social - Freeman Commons (Room 205), 2nd Floor Humphrey

11:30 am - 1:00 pm Lunch with CGHSR  - Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing’s Meditation Space, Room B393 Mayo Memorial Building

1:30 pm - 2:30 pm Global Minnesota site visit

3:00 pm - 4:00 pm Buddy Program launch (PASA) - Humphrey Forum

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Social Hour @ The Corner Bar - hosted by the Public Affairs Student Association (PASA)  [this is not a program led activity]

10:00 am - 12:00 pm "Things I Wish I Knew...-" Freeman Commons (Room 205), 2nd Floor Humphrey

5:00 am - 8:00 pm Please coordinate with other students for transportation to this off-campus event and ask Laura @ ICGC if you need support. 

Approximate timing:

9:00 - 9:30 am Welcome and overview of the field experience requirement. 

9:30 - 10:30 am  Presentations by second year MDP students and discussion

10:30 - 11:00 am Presentation of the field experience platform
