Through dynamic, interdisciplinary training in public policy, education, public health, and natural and social sciences, the MDP degree prepares students for careers in international development, equipping them with the skills needed to address the problems of poverty, social justice, and sustainable development.

The MDP degree is jointly administered by University of Minnesota's Humphrey School of Public Affairs and the Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Global Change (ICGC). Minnesota's MDP degree program is a member of the Global MDP Association. While the large majority of our MDP students are focused on the developing world, graduates also apply their skills to domestic challenges.

MDP STUDENTS:

This "handbook" offers a wealth of information about the program itself but not much about the people who bring it to life. To learn more about the amazing students who have helped to shape the program and who continue to drive its positive development please follow this link to the student biographies page, hosted by ICGC.
