Welcome! You have arrived at the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence's Summer Connections website. We call ourselves "MCAE" for short and pronounce it em-kay. We aim to provide resources to empower students to thrive academically and personally by fostering persistence, achievement, self-efficacy, and a deep sense of belonging. The intention of this website and program is to help you meet people before starting this fall at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities! We welcome you to sign up for the events that make sense to you (hopefully all of them) and to invite a friend who you know will be attending the university as well.
Our goal is to do our best to create an inclusive and thoughtful space. To do so, we are asking you all to review the Community Agreements and use these when participating in the events below.

These connections are designed to support incoming first -year and transfer students at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
You are not required to attend the entire time. Our motto is to "show up when you can, leave when you need to."
ALL of the times listed below are in Central Standard Time (CST) and will be held virtually to ensure we can reach as many audiences as possible.
