Activity! Create a Journal Website

+ Navigate to your Google Drive (don't have one? I'll help!)

+ Create a folder

+ In the folder, click "New" and select Google Sites

+ Explore different themes

+ Create appropriate pages and navigation

+ Add text (need filler text, try https://www.lipsum.com/ or http://goldyipsum.umn.edu/)

Moving fast?

+ Create a Google Doc in your folder

+ Plan out which additional Google apps you'll need to populate other journal parts

Example: I want my authors to submit their manuscript using a Google Form.

Tips:

+ Create a folder first!

+ Changes and updates are saved frequently, must click "Publish" to update live site or preview

+ Add additional content (images) to folder first

+ Header images will be auto-adjusted (you can turn this off!)
