The University’s Common Data Layer (CDL) is a collection of common good datasets that provides uniform and governed data to University users through system integrations. The two methods of connecting other systems to the CDL -- 1) APIs or 2) custom data integration solutions

APIs

An API allows systems to call an interface that provides predefined single or groups of data fields. The University’s Integrations team has created common good APIs to provide frequently used and requested data to systems. Browse the common good API list linked below to learn more about using them.

Custom Data Integration Solutions

Some integrations are more complicated than others; if an existing common good API listed does not meet the system integration needs, a custom solution or new/modified API may need to be developed.
