Access University of Minnesota data through Common Good APIs or custom data integration solutions.
The University’s Common Data Layer (CDL) is a curated collection of datasets that delivers consistent, governed data to University systems via integrations. There are two primary methods for connecting to the CDL:
APIs
Custom Data Integration Solutions
APIs allow systems to retrieve predefined sets of data fields—either individual fields or grouped datasets—through a standardized interface.
The University’s Integrations Team has developed a suite of Common Good APIs to provide access to frequently used and requested data.
Browse the Common Good API List to explore available APIs and learn how to use them.
Some integration needs may be too complex for existing APIs. In such cases, a custom solution or a new/modified API may be required.
If no existing API meets your system’s requirements, the University’s Integrations Team can help design a tailored solution.
