Meet the Officers

I am a fourth year graduate student in condensed matter experiment. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and went to Illinois Tech for undergrad, and now I'm loving life in the Twin Cities! In my free time, I enjoy biking, skiing and hiking. I also have two spoiled cats named Luna and Maple (feel free to ask me which is my favorite).

I'm a first year interested in dark matter physics. I grew up in Bangalore, India and went to the University of Illinois for college. I like taking advantage of all the lakes around us no matter the season and playing video games when I'm at home.

I'm a third year physics graduate student studying neutrinos with DUNE (Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment). I'm from Colorado, so I love outdoor activities; On the weekends you can catch me birdwatching/hiking and I recently got paddleboards to go out on the lakes! If the weather isn't cooperating, I also love playing video games and crafting, including anything from crochet to bookbinding! I'm obsessed with my three kitties, and love trading cat pictures. 

I'm a fourth year astrophysics graduate student studying gravitationally lensed transients. I grew up in Florida before moving north to Minnesota for college. When the weather is nice, I enjoy walking near the river and nearby lakes, and when the weather is less nice, I like to stay indoors reading and baking. 

I'm a third year graduate student working in neutrino experiment. I'm from Minneapolis, but went out East for undergrad. In my free time I love cooking, playing video games, and finding new ways to enjoy the cities.

Hello! My name is Gillian and I am a second year physics graduate student working in biophysics. I grew up outside of Madison, Wisconsin and I went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for undergrad. I enjoy staying active by (poorly) playing a variety of sports and working out. I also enjoy crafting, playing video games, and spending time with my cat, Bug.
