Grad Phi is the organization for graduate students in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota. Our organization is run by current graduate students who are elected to be be Officers in the spring. Any current graduate student in SPA is welcome to run! Officers volunteer their time to help organize fun events and to advocate for changes in the school. Events include our weekly coffee hour, movie nights, game nights, hikes, soccer games, and so much more that you can check out on our events page! We also host a town hall every semester where graduate students have the chance to talk to school leadership about issues they are having. Grad Phi is also happy to serve as a liaison between students and leadership if problems are arising.

To serve on departmental and university committees concerning our experience in the graduate program, School of Physics and Astronomy, and broader experience at the University.
To liaise with faculty and staff in the department to amplify graduate student concerns.
