Directions to McNamara from the Graduate Hotel
McNamara Alumni Center is located at 200 Oak Street SE, a short five-minute walk from the Graduate Hotel, as shown on the Google map to the right.
The alumni center is conveniently located off Interstates 35 and 94. From 35W north or south, take Exit #18, the 4th St-University Ave exit. Turn onto University Ave (a one-way). Stay in the right lane and drive 9 blocks to the University Ave Parking Ramp — located on the right side of the street. To access McNamara’s front circle drive, pass the parking ramp and drive another 1 block to Oak Street and take a right.
Important Note: There is a lot of road construction around campus. University Avenue is only one lane. To reach it you must drive west on 4th St., then turn left at 17th Ave., then left on University. Watch carefully for the ramp entrance as there are often large vehicles parked near it, making the entrance hard to see.
Nearby parking is also available in the Washington Avenue Parking Ramp (see map at right).
Besides taxis and ride services, you can choose to take light rail from the airport to the Graduate Hotel and the University of Minnesota campus.
Take the Blue Line from MSP to downtown Minneapolis and get off at US Bank Stadium. Then transfer to the Green Line going east towards St. Paul. Get off at the East Bank station, which is a half block west of the Graduate Hotel and right across the street from Keller Hall. The fare is $2.50 and the trip should take 30-40 minutes.
