DFMCH Faculty and Staff Bulletin: The second Thursday of each month.
Family Medicine Monthly: The last Thursday of each month. No issue in December.
If you're a member of the Department, you should automatically receive the newsletters. If you think you're not receiving one, please inquire with Communications.
Family Medicine Monthly:
It's sent as a Google Document newsletter and as a flipbook (your choice to click on either).
Contains feature news stories around the department, faculty and staff news, spotlights on individuals, research news, JEDI and community engagement news, upcoming events, publications and presentations, and more.
It goes to nearly 500 people: faculty, staff and trainees.
DFMCH Faculty and Staff Bulletin:
Contains brief updates from leadership across our main departmental areas: Clinical Affairs, Community Engagement & Advocacy, Education, Faculty Affairs, JEDI, Philanthropy, and Research. If we don't receive an update from an area, we omit that area for the month.
The Bulletin goes to faculty and staff.
Note: Links in these email newsletters stop working after 60 days or so.
Family Medicine Monthly: Past issues can be accessed using a Z link in this format: z.umn.edu/FMMMonthYear, so, for example: z.umn.edu/FMMSeptember2026
DFMCH Faculty and Staff Bulletin: The communications team is working to build an archive of past Bulletin issues. Please note that links will no longer work because they expire after 60 days or so.
Note: Any additional icons used in branded content such as social media posts must not be presented as if they are a logo/wordmark. We must use official U of M wordmarks. (Contact fmchcomm@umn.edu if you need those.) An icon is a secondary, supplemental decoration to add some uniqueness to a center or institute, for example.
The Medical School has phased out the program-specific logos. Now we are using only the DFMCH logo (see button above), and the program name can be written out in plain text somewhere else on the document, on the swag or shirt, etc., but not too close. It can't appear to be altering the UMN DFMCH logo.
Please use the UMN primary colors. Non-compliance with this in external-facing promotional pieces could get flagged by UMN Marketing. See official brand guidance.
The U of M is phasing out the tagline "Driven to Discover." Please remove it from materials and access the new logo version at the button above (DFMCH Logos).
If you have any feedback, questions, or ideas to share, please contact fmchcomm@umn.edu. Thank you!
