Faculty Guidance supports students with technical elective advice, senior year degree options, and future steps forward into their chosen career path. Faculty Guidance is designed to complement Academic Advising and provide more technical-based guidance on courses, technical area emphasis, career paths, industry, and graduate school.
All ECE students are required to meet with a Faculty Guide once per academic year to facilitate degree progress and support future planning. The ECE Hold is applied to all ECE student accounts to help manage the program. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions page for more information on departmental holds.

Spring 2022 Faculty Guidance will take place during October and November. Juniors are required to attend an appointment in the spring term, but sophomores and seniors are welcome to make an appointment as well. The Faculty Guides are here to help undergraduates and can be of great assistance with more technical discussions as well as questions about research or grad school.
