Director of Undergraduate Studies
About the Director of Undergraduate Studies
The Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUGS) has a number of responsibilities related to advising students, particularly around making decisions on petitions regarding degree requirements, APAS issues, transfer courses and ECE policy. Decisions reflect degree and university integrity, ECE policy and meeting ABET regulations. The DUGS is also able to support students with ECE specialty and technical knowledge regarding degree options, technical electives and career planning.
The DUGS is available to meet with students as and when needed or suggested by the ECE Academic Advisor; some students may never need to work with the DUGS, while others may require greater interaction.
