We invite proposals for Education Day 2026 to explore how Spectrum of Care (SOC) shapes veterinary education, clinical practice, and community engagement.
Sessions will examine:
Contextually appropriate, evidence‑based veterinary care
Strategies for integrating SOC into courses and curricula
Opportunities for collaboration across departments and communities
The meaning and application of SOC across veterinary roles and settings
Legal, liability, and standards‑of‑care considerations within SOC
This year’s event will also highlight Educational Research, specifically the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). We especially encourage proposals that showcase evidence‑informed teaching practices, educational innovations, and research that drives meaningful change in veterinary education.
Poster‑ish Session - Interactive show-and-tell session for sharing projects, innovations, or works in progress related to SOC or Educational Innovation/s. Presenters can display an electronic poster or lead a roundtable.
PechaKucha Presentation (5 minutes) - Fast‑paced, high‑impact presentations designed to spark ideas and conversation around SOC‑related practices, partnerships, or concepts.

Join us for a day of dynamic and collaborative experiences exploring the theme of Spectrum of Care (SOC).
This year, we are excited to welcome Dr. Ruthanne Chun, DVM, DACVIM (Oncology) as our keynote speaker.
Throughout the day, you’ll have opportunities to:
Hear from speakers and interact in workshops focused on contextually appropriate, evidence-based veterinary care;
Consider ways to incorporate the SOC framework into course content;
Discover opportunities to partner with colleagues and community members;
Reflect on the meaning of SOC for all veterinarians; and
Learn about liability, legality, and standard of care with respect to SOC.
