CLA Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) is organizing four cross-unit workgroups that are dedicated to (1) undergraduate curriculum and pedagogy, (2) graduate student climate and mentoring, (3) workplace climate, equity, and inclusion, and (4) academic reviews and promotion for tenure-track and tenured faculty. Apply here.
We will be having a DEI-C organized social event in October. Everyone is welcome to come and socialize (and learn more about our current DEI-C efforts)!
July 2022 Meeting
A grant from Tri-Psych has been funded to support the Diversity in Psychology Support. This grant is intended to pair new graduate students with mentors who are from older cohorts. Huge shout-out to those who have been involved in this grant work thus far!
Psy 8618 is going live in Autumn 2022. This will be a journal club focused on DEI topics in the field. It is possible this may provide some licensure benefits for students seeking licensure. This course is mainly aimed at 3rd and 4th year students, but 5th year students who are interested in it may apply for a tuition waiver via the department, which is due relatively soon.
The department's Diversity in Psychology Program is scheduled (Nov 4, virtual)
