Welcome! I am a Ph.D. candidate in Sociology at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. I earned an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Texas at Arlington and a BBA in Management from the University of Texas at Austin.

I am a sociologist who uses mixed methods (e.g., regression modeling, spatial analyses, and interviews) to: (1) uncover how systemic racism perpetuates inequities in legal system contact and population health, and (2) explain and estimate the health costs of punitive social control. 

My work has been supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the American Sociological Association, the American Bar Foundation, the Law and Society Association, and the Hawkinson Fund for Peace & Justice.
