Welcome to our Garden in Residence Summer Program! We wish we could be working directly with you to teach you to be gardeners and scientists, but since we can't, we've created an online platform to provide some of the same content and opportunities to interact with a learning community.
How to participate: Each week, the week's lessons will be added to this site. You are encouraged to watch the videos as they fit in your schedule and share when you have completed them. Our master gardeners will walk through teaching you about your garden and how to care for it, our 4-H staff will lead you through some science experiments and exploration and our snap-ed educators will provide lessons on nutrition and a weekly snack to try.
Tools we will use:
This site will be used to keep everything organized in one place. It is only accessible to our registered participants with the email you provided. The next weeks content will go live on friday afternoons.
Flip Grid - We have created a private group where our participants and counselors can share their learning and interact. We have created this guide to help you if you are new to flipgrid.
Journal - In your supplies you will find a journal. We will use this to track our predictions, progress and weekly measurements.
Our gardens! - upon registering you either opted to plant your garden in pots, or in a plot in your yard....
Now let's get started - Introduce yourself:
We have split our participants into smaller groups so you can get to know our educators, counselors and other "campers". To start. Check out the introduction videos of our staff and create one introducing yourself/your family!
