The learning objective and goals for the Critical Care Cardiology Education Summit (CCCES):
Provide hands on experiential learning of procedures and review of the tools common for cardiac intensivists such as but not limited to: intubation and other airway strategies, bronchoscopy, thoracentesis and chest tube placement, hemostasis, renal replacement therapy, pulmonary embolism treatment/retrieval devices, ventilatory management, insertion/management and troubleshooting of various temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support devices.
Discuss management and cutting-edge therapy for a variety of disease states managed in the ICU including but not limited to identification and management of post operative and access site bleeding, cardiogenic shock, coagulopathy, hematologic complications with temporary and durable mechanical support, reversal agents, Heparin induced thrombocytopenia, renal failure.
