The learning objective and goals for the Critical Care Cardiology Education Summit (CCCES):
Provide hands on experiential learning of procedures and review of the tools common for cardiac intensivists such as but not limited to: intubation and other airway strategies, bronchoscopy, thoracentesis and chest tube placement, point of care ultrasound and ultrasound guided cardiopulmonary resuscitation, pulmonary embolism treatment/retrieval devices, cooling devices, neuromonitoring devices, insertion/management and troubleshooting of various temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support devices.
Discuss management and cutting edge therapy for a variety of end stage disease states managed in the ICU including but not limited to myocarditis, cardiac arrest, cardiogenic shock, ventricular arrhythmia, massive and submissive pulmonary embolism and renal failure.
