Who We Are

Maria Hugh, M.Ed., BCBA is a doctoral candidate in Educational Psychology within the special education program. She is a National Center for Leadership in Intensive Intervention Scholar (learn more here: nclii.org). Before returning to graduate school, she worked with children and adults with autism, their families, and their service providers in Tennessee and North Carolina. In pursuit of improving outcomes for people with autism, Maria studies ways to support teachers in using practices that are most effective and efficient at promoting student learning.
