This session will feature research that examines community-led efforts to drive change and strengthen community. The work to be presented include a community's use of democratic practices to drive planning efforts in response to Covid-19; the impact of different types of media in reporting and raising awareness of the Palestine/Israel conflict; ways the Theory of Fruitfulness can be implemented to build community leadership capacity as well as social and economic value; and black teacher and student led efforts to strengthen ethnic racial education and amplify interest in STEM.
