Biography: Ugo Ezeh (she/her) is a womanist, human rights advocate, reader, and writer passionate about the human rights, histories, and cultures of Black peoples across the diaspora. With a breadth of experience in international human rights law and advocacy, her areas of expertise include structural and institutional racism and anti-racism, the rights of Afro-descendant persons and peoples in the Americas, racially and ethnically motivated violence, and intersectional discrimination. As the Legal Advocacy Coordinator at the Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI), Ugo coordinates the organization's national and international advocacy related to the impacts of enforcement, criminalization, detention, and removal policies on Black migrants in and en route to the United States. Ugo has a master's in International Law and Human Rights from the University for Peace and a Specialization in Afro Latin American and Caribbean Studies from CLACSO.
