Biography: Tamyres Batista holds a degree in Social Sciences from Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES). She teaches Sociology at a public high school in Vitória, Espírito Santo, Brazil, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. Her research focuses on Afro-Brazilian religions. As an educator, she also develops projects with Black students that promote ethnic-racial education and gender equity. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys singing, watching independent films, and riding her bike.
